Nearly all of the art I do is in vectors, and what that means is that unlike artwork done with pixels, my files can be printed at any size without loss of resolution. You’ve probably experienced loss of resolution if you’ve printed out graphics from a website–the edges get blocky and chunky, and you certainly wouldn’t be able to use it for a book cover or poster. Not so with vector art–my files can be printed as vehicle decals or billboards, if need be.
Since size doesn’t matter, my rates are therefore based on the number of people in the image.
My flat rate for a full-colour print of one character is $50. Each additional character is an extra $15, and you can add as many characters as we can fit onto the page.
For larger projects, such as comic books or multiple-image projects, my rate is $50 an hour.
